‘Suffolk Strong’ video featuring coronavirus frontliners, kids and county leaders attracts nearly 12K views

Stay home. Be Suffolk Strong.

That’s the message delivered in the inspiring “Suffolk Strong” video released last week by local college student Brianna Harmon, in cooperation with Harmonizer Media and GreaterLongIslandTV.

The video is a compilation of self-recorded messages from heroic health care workers and first responders; local leaders, including Suffolk County District Attorney Timothy Sini, Suffolk Legislator Bridget Fleming, Patchogue Mayor Paul Pontieri and Islip Town Supervisor Angie Jacobs; and everyday people staying home to stifle the spread of COVID-19.

The video now has tallied nearly 12,000 views. Check it out below:

“The coronavirus pandemic has been heartbreaking in so many ways and has had a dramatic affect on the lives of every Suffolk resident,” said Harmon, a senior studying political science at St. Joseph’s College. “So it was important to feature people with varied roles in this historic battle against a deadly virus that does not discriminate in who it sickens.

“It is wonderful to see leaders from both sides of the political aisle pitch in to deliver a powerful and worthwhile message on behalf of the community, she added.”
