20 photos: South Quarter is Sayville’s own little 1980s time machine

|

South Quarter, the new retro clothing store in downtown Sayville, opened for the first time on Saturday, and was an instant hit.

Customers flooded the shop early in the afternoon, then continued to stream in throughout the remainder of the day, enjoying the 1980s decor and the stylish and comfy clothing for all ages.

“Everyone that came in was so blown away, and so supportive and so congratulatory,” said Terrence Saporito, one of South Quarter’s four owners. “Everyone that walks in and sees the place — they can’t not smile. That’s been the best part of today.”

GreaterSayville.com was there to capture the store’s big day in photos. Check out our photos below. Be sure to click on boxes 2, 3 and 4 to see them all.
