(Mini) Spring Fest in Sayville scheduled for March 27

|

Spring Fest is back in Sayville.

The Greater Sayville Chamber of Commerce is set to host Mini-Spring Fest on Saturday, March 27, on Main Street. (A rain date has been set for April 3.)

The event will feature live musical performances, sidewalk shopping, giveaways, the Spring Bonnet Contest and visits with the Easter Bunny. It’s being co-sponsored by TEACH Consulting Services, Inc., Hammer & Stain, and South Bay Arts in Bayport.

South Bay Arts owner and music coach Jack Licitra and his students, including teen recording artist Camryn Quinlan of Sayville, will perform live music on the sidewalk in front of the Chase Bank steps.

“It’s a great day to have kids share music with the community,” Licitra said. “They get to add performing to their process, while newer students and more experienced students mix it up. It’s a fun way for everybody to grow together.”

Sayville chamber President Eileen Tyznar, who owns TEACH Consulting, is excited about bringing back one of the community’s most cherished events.

“Springfest was always a family favorite, and although we had to adjust the event to meet the current safety regulations, we think that it will still fulfill a long desired need for normalcy again,” Tyznar said.

“Spring is renewal and a breath of fresh air, and the chamber is excited to bring just that to our community.”
