Sayville’s Down the Rabbit Hole highlighted on CBS News

|

Long Island’s tiniest wine shop got some Big Apple sized attention this week.

Down the Rabbit Hole’s sommelier and owner Jessica Green took a CBS New York news crew on a fun little tour of her 100-square-foot boutique on Sayville’s Main Street.

Green, who grew up around wine and vineyards on the North Fork, discussed how first-timers often do a double-take once inside the shop — the smallest wine store in New York state.

“They’re like, ‘Wait. Is this it? Is there more?’ I’m like, ‘Nope. You’re in the rabbit hole. This is it,’” she told the CBS reporter.

Green’s store specializes in artisan wines, small lot vintages and organic-bio dynamic vineyards from across the globe.

Down the Rabbit Hole is located at 4 Main St. During the winter, the physical store is open Wednesday to Saturday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m., and on Sunday, noon-3 p.m.

It’s next-door neighbor to the east — Sayville N Spice — was featured on CBS New York news in January.
