Bohemia business gives 10,000 Pieces of PPE to Islip Town

|

Bohemia base Liberty Masks donated 10,000 pieces of disposable and reusable PPE to Islip Town’s Public Safety Division and Office of Personnel, town officials announced.

“We would like to thank Liberty Masks for their gracious generosity, as they make this incredible donation … to help us in our fight against COVID-19,” Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter said. “A donation of this magnitude will go a long way in keeping our residents safe.”

Sue Bhasin, senior sales representative with Liberty Masks, said the gift to the town was a no brainer.

“We are proud to be here and offer our products, which are made in America, to our communities,” she said.

Islip Town Public Safety Commissioner Tony D’Amico said Islip works to provide masks to local nursing homes and veterans’ organizations, but in limited quantities.

“It’s so important to have these masks, so that we can ensure that our loved ones are wearing them as well,” he said, thanking Liberty Masks for its donation.

“We are so grateful to Liberty Masks for their donation, and the fact that the masks are made in America, it’s a wonderful thing,” added Arthur Abbate, director of personnel and Islip Town safety officer.
