Coach Masi led the T-birds for 17 seasons, guiding them to the very first Long Island Class I championship in 1992. Twice named Newsday’s Suffolk County football Coach of the Year, he was inducted into Connetquot’s Sports Hall of Fame in 2015.

Connetquot Football tweeted on Wednesday: “Coach Masi was an absolute legend in Connetquot. He put Connetquot Football on the map. The excitement of those teams from 1989-1994 in Connetquot was unbelievable!”
