Debra Canavan Classics boutique to close its Sayville storefront and move online; will be ‘sorely missed’

|

Debra Canavan Classics — a Main Street mainstay for three decades — is closing its Sayville storefront, and fully shifting to an online store, ownership announced.

“I have some sad news and some happy news to share with you:
The sad news first…Debra Canavan Classics will shutter its doors January 31st,” reads a message Debra posted on the store’s website, addressing her “wonderful customers.”

“The happy news…The shoppable website that was created over the pandemic will re-launch on March 1st with convenient shopping features and a carefully curated selection!” the letter continues.

Greater Sayville Chamber of Commerce President Eileen Tyznar said Main Street Sayville will sorely miss the iconic boutique shop, located at 53 Main St.

“She and her boutique have been the epitome of style and grace,” Tyznar said. “We are looking forward to her online store announcement in March!”

“It has been a wonderful journey and I can’t express enough how heartwarming it is to have had your loyalty and support,” the owner wrote. “I will forever miss the Sayville street events, wine and cheese nights, the fashion shows and all of those parades on Main Street!

“Unfortunately, we can’t pop the champagne and turn up the music to celebrate these last 30 years together, but I hope you will stop by to take advantage of the year-end sale or to share a memory,” she concluded.
