Announcement: The Sayville Inn reopens this Thursday — Jan. 7

|

The Sayville Inn will reopen Thursday, two weeks after it voluntarily closed due to “a member of The Sayville Inn family” testing positive for COVID-19.

“We’re happy to announce that after completing a comprehensive cleaning and sanitation process there’s only 3 more days until we reopen here at The Sayville Inn!” the restaurant announced Monday on its Facebook page.

The restaurant, established in 1888 and located at 199 Middle Road, closed on Christmas Eve to help prevent further spread of the virus, according to a statement from the restaurant.

“We’ll utilize this time to sterilize the restaurant and ensure our employees are tested before coming back to work,” operators said then, via social media.

The Sayville Inn‘s regular nightly specials will be back, along with live music on Thursday nights, and pick-up or pre-paid free “touchless” delivery to customers in Sayville and Bayport for all family meals and/or $25 minimum orders. Family meals won’t get going until Jan. 13.

Here’s when The Sayville Inn is open.

Restaurant hours

The restaurant is open 4-9 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday, 4-10 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, noon-10 p.m. on Saturday and noon-9 p.m. on Sunday. It is closed on Wednesdays.
