Soon-to-be third-grader Eliza Thompson hasn’t let the 2020 pandemic get in the way of her hunger for reading. Here she is last week at the Bayport-Blue Point Public Library, engrossed in a copy of the graphic novel “Noodleheads” by Tedd Arnold.
Eliza is an avid library user, said Mike Firestone, the library director.
School starts back up in Bayport-Blue Point on Sept. 11. (Click here to see the district’s return-to-school plan.)
In the meantime, students looking to get a leg up on reading and research can enjoy the library, which opens daily, Monday to Saturday, at 10 a.m. The library closes at 7 p.m. on Wednesday; 2 p.m. on Saturday; and 5 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
