Bayport-Blue Point High School hosted a four socially distanced commencement ceremonies last month for its Class of 2020.
Each ceremony on July 25 was held on the school’s football field and included speeches from Principal Robert Haas, Board of Education President Michael Miller, Superintendent of Schools Timothy Hearney, class valedictorian Douglas McDonough and salutatorian Jacob Lurie.
Each Phantoms graduate was permitted two guests, and family members had the opportunity to bestow honor medallions upon graduates who had maintained a GPA of at least 90% during their four years in high school.
