30 Photos: Connetquot’s Class of 2020 finally gets its days in the sun

|

Connetquot High School honored its graduating class last week with two outdoor, drive-through commencement ceremonies at the school.

Adhering to the state’s social distancing guidelines, groups of just 15 students graduated at a time, with proud family members exiting their vehicles to witness them accept their diplomas..

The high school property was decorated in the district’s colors and, thanks to the Bohemia, West Sayville and Lakeland fire departments, an oversized American flag suspended on two fire truck cranes was the backdrop for the ceremonies.

The two events were also broadcasted live via simulcast on radio station 90.5 FM, as well as on YouTube. Click here to watch a recording of the ceremonies.

Check out some of the great photos taken at the events, courtesy of the Connetquot Central School District. Be sure to click on boxes 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 to see them all.
