Connetquot High School hosted a mini commencement ceremony for nine seniors who are either heading off to the military or starting their collegiate athletic careers before the Class of 2020’s official graduation event later this summer.
Friday’s celebration was an intimate gathering in the school’s courtyard. Upon leaving the ceremony, the graduates were greeted on the street by a crowd of their classmates, family and friends.
The exuberant group lined 7th Street, waving congratulatory signs and American flags.
