Wild Side Bistro in Oakdale closes due to coronavirus setback

|

Wild Side Bistro, the hip Oakdale eatery that took pride in its wide-ranging wholesome food and fun-loving wine Tasting Tuesdays, has closed.

After years of catering to the needs of vegans, keto diet diehards and everything in-between, Wild Side fell victim to the coronavirus pandemic.

“With a heavy heart and much sadness, the time has come that we must say farewell,” owners Raquel Wolf and Jay Jadeja wrote in a post on Wild Side’s Facebook page. “Bistro has always been our labor of love and unfortunately as hard as we tried, we were not able to outlive this pandemic.”

The husband and wife own another restaurant, The Onion Tree, in Seacliff.

Earlier this month, the restaurant was excitedly gearing up for re-opening to outdoor dining, posting about it on Instagram: “Our team is masked and gloved and we are ready to serve you both our a la carte menu as well as a special 3 course Prix-Fixe menu (only $35!).”

“You will remain forever in our hearts and we will never forget you and the amazingly fun times we shared,” the owners said on Facebook this week, addressing their customers .
