Sayville ‘Decision Day’ videos feature nearly 200 graduating seniors

Still full of hope and brimming with pride, nearly 200 graduating seniors from Sayville High School’s Class of 2020 got in front of the camera this spring to preview their next chapter in life.

In Sayville’s “Decision Day” videos, seniors who are spending their last three months as Sayville students navigating the rigors of remote learning share with the world where they’re going next, whether it’s their college pick or vocational choice. It was prepared by LynnAnn Perlin for Sayville Public Schools.

Like all school districts across New York state, Sayville schools have been closed since March 13 due to safety restrictions related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Sayville Superintendent John Stimmel said in a letter to the district community this week that the district is “planning for the Sayville Class of 2020 ceremony and will announce those plans as soon as they are ready.” Commencement was orignally scheduled for June 26.
