Café Joelle in Sayville is offering a sweetheart of a deal: Every takeout customer — it doesn’t matter if it’s to-go or delivery — will come with a $10 gift certificate.
The Main Street restaurant is also handing out $20 gift certificates for each purchase of a $100 certificate.
“We look at ourselves as part of the puzzle of our community,” Café Joelle owner James Caporuscio said. “As a member of this community, I want to do whatever it is that we can to help.”
Caporuscio announced the deal this week during his “first ever” social media address to the community.
“The business model that we had created has been flipped on its head,” he said. “So now we’re working off of this evolving business model.”
Café Joelle is looking at many ways it can help during the coronavirus crisis.
“If you can’t find chicken cutlets at the supermarket, call us. If I have them, I can help you,” Caporuscio said. “If you need milk, eggs, toilet paper, ketchup — anything.
“Let’s change this business model together and make it beneficial for you, for us and for the greater good.”
