Bohemia gets a Quickchek: grand opening features FREE coffee until February 16

|

QuickChek — the hybrid gas station and convenience store — has set up shop on Veterans Memorial Highway in Bohemia.

It’s the fifth Long Island store for QuickChek, a gas station that pumps out a lot more than just fuel. Fresh coffee, food and other drinks are also available, along with indoor seating counters, phone and laptop charging stations, and free wifi.

Until Feb. 16, patrons can pick up free coffee at the store, and treat themselves to $6 footlong subs and $2 smoothies and Espresso bar drinks at the new 6,750-square-foot space, located at 3540 Veterans Memorial Highway.

QuickChek officials said that as part of the company’s effort to give back to the communities it serves, the Bohemia store will donate $0.25 for every sub, sandwich and wrap sold in the store from Feb. 4-March 3, 2020 to the Connetquot Fury youth soccer team.

Open 24 hours a day, more than half of the store is dedicated to fresh food and beverages, QuickChek CEO Dean Durling said.

“We serve busy people on the go and today’s consumer, especially young professionals, families and health-conscious people, want fresh,” said Durling said.

Amenities in the new store include no-fee ATMs which provide additional added value to consumers, outdoor seating for eight, eight gas pumps/16 fueling positions and 53 parking spaces. The menu features restaurant-quality subs, sandwiches, wraps and salads, Durling said.

The new store creates 45 new local jobs, including eight management positions, store officials said. Each new QuickChek typically generates about $1 million in tax revenue.
