Nine Sayville senior athletes commit to NCAA DI and DII athletic programs

Three boys lacrosse team members are among the nine Sayville High School seniors who have committed to playing collegiate sports with NCAA Division I and Division II programs.

Each of the nine are set to graduate in June and begin playing college sports this fall on campuses across the country this fall.

The student-athletes have “demonstrated character, commitment and excellence on and off their fields of competition,” the district said in a statement announcing the student-athletes’ commitments.

“The Sayville School District, coaches and student body take pride in these students for their individual as well as team achievements throughout their distinguished high school careers.“

The group includes the following Golden Flashes:

Tara Donohue — Field Hockey
Bentley University (Div. II)

Elizabeth Argenziano — Women’s Soccer
Pace University (Div. II)

Joe LoPresti — Wrestling
LIU Post (Div. I)

Cole Doller — Men’s Lacrosse
Drexel University (Div. I)

John O’Rourke — Men’s Lacrosse
Hofstra University (Div. I)
