Brightview’s resort-style senior community opens in Sayville

|

Featuring a library, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a movie theater and — yes — even an upscale Irish pub, Brightview Sayville is loaded with amenities.

Brightview Senior Living today officially announced the opening of the 154-apartment community at 445 Broadway Avenue, near Sunrise Highway and across from Target in Sayville.

“We are thrilled to open our doors to the Long Island community,” said Deborah DiMatteo, Brightview Sayville’s executive director, while noting the community’s access to great local restaurant, entertainment and shopping locations.

Brightview Sayville residents will also find themselves immersed in nature, considering the complex is virtually surrounded by San Souci Park.

Inside Brightview Sayville, seventy-eight apartments are designated as independent living, which is suited for seniors looking to live an active lifestyle. For residents who may need some assistance with day-to-day activities, including mobility or medication management, there are 52 dedicated assisted living apartments.

There is also a 24-apartment Wellspring Village® neighborhood that will provide innovative memory care and is reserved for residents living with Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. Click here to see a virtual tour of the community.

“It’s our mission to help ease the decision-making process for families who are seeking the best care environment for their loved ones,” DiMatteo said. “Our knowledgeable, passionate and professional staff, along with our resort-style amenities and programs, create an atmosphere where seniors, no matter where they are in life, can remain active, engaged, healthy and safe.”

Brightview Senior Living owns and operates more than 40 communities along the east coast. Brightview Sayville is the company’s first Long Island venture.

DiMatteo noted that vibrant living is at the core of every Brightview senior living community. In addition to the amenities listed above, Brightview Sayville will have access to a full-service salon, an outdoor courtyard with a fire pit and a choice of dining venues for home-cooked meals.

“We have a team that curates trips, organizes events and makes healthy alternatives accessible — enabling Brightview Sayville residents to truly thrive and make the most of every day,” she said.

DiMatteo said accessible rubber surfacing pathways exist throughout the community’s exterior to help prevent serious fall injuries and encourage mobility and independence for residents.
