Get warm at Bayard Cutting Arboretum’s winter concert series

The warmest winter concert series going kicks off next weekend at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum in Great River.

Every Sunday until March 29 (with the exception of Sunday, March 1), classical music lovers can enjoy free concerts at the Upper Carriage House, courtesy of the New York Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation.

Each show begins at 1 p.m. and ends at 2 p.m. Seating is on first come, first served basis. The concerts, free to the public, are sponsored by the Islip Arts Council with funding provided by Bayard Cutting Arboretum; Natural Heritage Trust; New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation; New York State Council on the Arts; and Suffolk County under the auspices of the Office of Cultural Affairs.

Here’s the schedule showing who is playing when:

February 9: Ko-Eun Yi — piano

February 16: Alba Consort — early Mediterranean music

February 23: Cross Island — cello, piano and horn

March 8: Trio Portinari — piano, violin and cello

March 15: Canta Libre — flute, harp and strings

March 22: Gemini Journey — violin and cello

March 29: Kaplan Duo — piano
