So says the forecast for Bayport on Thursday, Dec. 12 — which is perfect for a Christmas tree lighting ceremony.
The Bayport-Blue Point Chamber of Commerce announced the make-up day for Christmas Tree Lighting & Santa for Bayport-Blue Point, after miserable weather forced the chamber to postpone the festive event on Monday, Dec. 2.
This time, the highly anticipated annual event is scheduled for 5 p.m. (two hours earlier than usual) on the front lawn of Bayport-Blue Point High School, 200 Snedecor Ave. in Bayport.
Santa Claus is expected to arrived on a fire truck, then listen to gift wishes and pose for photos with kids young and old. The ceremony will also include holiday music and snacks.
