The community is invited to attend the festivities on from 3:45-5 p.m at the school, located at 212 Blue Point Ave. Earlier, during the school day, students, educators, honored guests and local officials will mark the occasion with an in-school assembly program.
Local historians have helped the district collect an array of unique historical memorabilia, but school officials are seeking donations from community residents, alumni and friends to help increase the size of the walking museum that the district is planning for the event.
Community member looking for information on how to donate old photos, news articles or other historical items connected to Blue Point Elementary can contact Melissa Weinstein at 631.472.7860, ext. 8001.
