Billy Joel tribute band performing free at The Common Ground in Sayville

|

Captain Jack, the ultra-popular Billy Joel tribute band that performs at venues across the tri-state area, will perform a free concert this Wednesday, Aug. 24, under the stars at The Common Ground in Rotary Park in Sayville.

Just like the rest of the shows in Sayville’s free summer concert series, the music starts playing at 7 p.m. Be sure to bring beach chairs and blankets.

Captain Jack consists of some of the area’s top musicians. The band performs Long Islander Billy Joel’s three decades worth of timeless hits, while mixing in several “B” sides and rare album cuts in its shows.

Check out one of their performances of “Piano Man” here.

The free summer concert series concludes Wednesday, Aug. 28, with the Stanton Anderson Band playing an original blend of rock, blues, R&B and soul.

The Common Ground at Rotary Park is located between Candee and Gillette avenues in Sayville. For cancellations, schedule changes and other information, visit thecommonground.com.
