Oakdale Brew House will host four-day grand opening party, July 25-28

|
The Oakdale Brew House will celebrate its grand opening with a four-day extravaganza this week — from Thursday to Sunday.
Each day, the Brew House will feature live music and give out prizes, including shirts, glassware, cozies, bottle openers, frisbees, sunglass pouches and draft beer stored in the eatery’s signature “OBH” cans. Additionally, a Blue Point Brewing Company bicycle and a Kona Brewing Company Surfboard will be raffled off.
Festivities include a 3 p.m. Friday ribbon cutting ceremony with invited local officials, including Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter.
“We are looking forward to showing the people in the surrounding areas what they can expect from us — great food and drinks, alongside great service and atmosphere,” said Gay, a 2010 Connetquot High School graduate. “This weekend, we are going to really showcase what we are about, and we’re looking forward to seeing many new faces to share the experience with.”
Here's the live music lineup for the event (July 25-28)
Thursday 8:30-11:30 p.m. • Johnny Kroo
Friday 8-11 p.m. • Don and The Law
Saturday 7-11 p.m. • Jimmy Gallagher
Sunday 7-10 p.m. • Matt Searing
Niall Crowe, who also owns Lily Flanagan’s Pub, The Local and The Villager in Babylon Village, opened the Oakdale Brew House in June. It replaced what was Molly Maguires, and before that, O’Reilly’s, in a storefront located in the Lighthouse Commons shopping plaza, 927a Montauk Highway in Oakdale.
Inside the Oakdale Brew House are two sizable bars, featuring a wide selection of craft beers and local wine. The bar and restaurant has trendy leather bench seating, a late-night kitchen and a hip-looking open ceiling. It is open for lunch until 3 a.m. on weekend nights, and from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. during the week.
