Tonight: Bunger Sayville welcomes Matt “Mayhem” Biolos — one of the kings of surfboard shaping

|

It just may be a surfer’s dream: one-on-one time with a surfboard shaping king in designing a custom board.

That opportunity is at hand tonight in Sayville as Matt “Mayhem” Biolos — the founder of Lost Surfboards, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of surfboards — wades into Bunger Sayville to custom design surfboards in time for summer.

“Sign up with the boys at Bunger, and let’s create your next dream machine,” Biolos, who has shaped surfboards since the mid-1980s, writes in an Instagram post announcing his 5-8 p.m. appearance at the surf shop located at 247 W. Main St.

“We’re very excited to have this world renowned surfboard shaper come to our shop,” said Jack Bernardini, Bunger’s general manager  “Matt Biolos is probably the best or second best surfboard shaper in the world.”

Bunger is offering $100 off on Lost Surfboards during Biolos’ visit. Food and drinks from Swell Taco will be at the event.
