‘Sayville in the Time of Coronavirus’ video garners 22K views in first 24 hours

A heartfelt video that shines a spotlight on the Sayville community as it copes with the COVID-19 pandemic — and features the amazing vocal talents of Sayville Middle Schooler Camryn Quinlan — collected over 22,700 views within 24 hours of premiering on Facebook.

Featuring downtown Sayville and the community’s schoolyards, parks and shoreline among other locations, the video conveys the solemn mood that has gripped most American communities this spring, while revealing a sense of hope and togetherness.

“Beautiful ❤️ Thank you for sharing! Love my town!  ,” wrote Shannon Reub, who commented on the Greater Sayville Facebook post that premiered the video, produced by the team at Harmonizer Video.

“Absolutely a great tribute to a great hometown!” added viewer Karen Kay Day Roberts on Facebook.

Singing in the background of “Sayville in the Time of Coronavirus” is Quinlan, 13, a seventh-grade singing sensation who is a member of Warner Records’ Acopop! Kids, a 28-member a cappella group created by the founders of Pentatonix. She performs a cover of Kacey Musgraves’ “Rainbow.”
